The Sun Fast 17 is a light and highly practical craft, aboard which hassle free handling is the keynote : slipping and mast stepping can be done single handed, the asymmetrical spinnaker surprisingly easy to raise thanks to the retractable spinnaker pole. With the center board raised, a mere 25 cm of water is suffice to get her afloat and, with the flat bilge, beaching is effected without recourse to beaching legs. The smallest in Jeanneau's live aboard range, the Sun Fast 17 offers surprising accommodation featuring a large double berth forward with stowage lockers above & below the sleeping area. The cabin is light an airy as a result of her well placed ports. Never before has such accommodation been seen on such a small yacht. Access to the cabin is through a plexiglas hatch which provides light into the enterior and in addition to the double berth forward there are two single quarter berths giving family accommodation.
