FROM OPEN WATER TO OUTER SPACE

For those who remember the Apollo missions, watching Artemis II splash down off the coast of San Diego felt incredible. The first human mission back toward the moon in over 50 years. It’s the kind of moment that reminds you why exploration matters.
And here’s something not everyone knows. Long before space, astronaut Christina Koch was a sailor. She sailed out of the Severn Sailing Association—the same place many of us know well.
While it's fair to say that sailing dinghies around the Chesapeake Bay is a far cry from circumnavigating the dark side of the moon, the two do have a few things in common. Sailing is all about working with the elements. Sailing is about dealing with weather and whatever comes your way, and sailing is all about exploring new and exciting places, even when getting there is a little scary. Space travel, maybe, is a bit of the same.
At Jeanneau, we build boats for that experience. Boats you can trust. Boats that give you control when it matters most. Boats that let you go further with confidence.
Christina Koch, we salute you. We’ll be ready to welcome you back on the water!
