Cruising the Med with Tom & Karen Grimmett

As avid sailors, Tom and Karen Grimmett had their fair share of experiences cruising the Great Lakes to Nova Scotia and down to the Caribbean. So, when they were introduced to the Sun Odyssey 440 in the Fall of 2017, they knew she would be the boat to take them into their next phase of sailing life, Life Four Point Zero. As luck would have it, Jeanneau Sailboats are built in France, so Tom and Karen with the help of their dealer, Navy Point Yacht Sales took delivery on the southern coast of France in the town of Canet-en-Roussillon.

They headed south for the Balearic Islands to discover the many coves of Majorca and Menorca. Then they headed east toward France and sailed along the French Riviera then down to Corse and Sardegna. When their trip came to an end, they sailed across to Sorrento where they planned to keep "Sea Rose" until they would cross the Atlantic again for another summer on the Med.
