Sun Fast 3200 Yolo crosses the line in Rio!

Yes, there is another Yolo out there! Dale Kushner, the commodore of the Royal Cape Yacht Club, along with his long term crew member Ian Coward have finished the 14th edition of the race that leaves from Table Bay in Cape Town to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The rhum line is 3300 miles, making this race one of the longest ocean races. Yolo completed the race in 24 days 13 hours 57 minutes. Bravo!

The Kushner/Coward duo has competed in almost every single offshore event in South Africa. They are familiar with this race having taken part in previous editions, the most recent was 2011 where they attained 3rd place overall.

Dale’s Jenneau Sunfast 3200 Class yacht which is aptly named YOLO (You Only Live Once) was one of the smallest boats to enter the race.
