Kristina's Travels Episode #19 - Lérins Islands

Lérins Islands

 Kristina's Travels

EPISODE 19

On Episode 19 of Kristina’s Travels—the crew is dropping anchor in one of the most iconic hotspots on the French Riviera. Sure, Cannes is known for its red carpets and A-list glamour—but out on the water? We’re talking hundreds of boats, packed into the sparkling anchorage between the Lérins Islands, just off the coast. And this isn’t your average sailing scene. This was an offshore festival—complete with bartenders shaking cocktails from the decks of dinghies, a floating pizza bar, and more music than the Cannes Film Festival afterparty.

It was loud. It was wild. It was everything you imagined the Med in high season to be—and then some. But it’s not all champagne and dance beats. Just beneath the surface lies a totally different kind of magic. The crew dives into the underwater sculpture garden by artist Jason deCaires Taylor—six hauntingly beautiful stone faces resting silently in the sea. It’s a surreal contrast: serenity below, sensory overload above.
