Paul and Karen Novak aboard their chartered JY 51 in route to the Bitter End Yacht Club on Virgin Gorda. Paul and Karen are very active in the Jeanneau community and own a Sun Odyssey 37 which they sail on their home waters of the Chesapeake Bay.
All Sails Up for the BVI Owners' Rendezvous 2024
MARCH 9-16 | BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
What started in 2012 continued this year with 13 boats and more than 50 attendees coming from all over the United States and Canada. Some, like Paul and Karen Novak of Reston, VA, had done this event several times before. For others, like Kevin and Emily Hawkins of San Diego, CA, this was their first BVI Owners' Rendezvous and, in fact, their first time to the BVI.
Kevin and Emily Hawkins enjoy a day at The Baths on Virgin Gorda. Kevin and Emily chartered a SO 440 but also own a 440 which is a recent upgrade from their previous Jeanneau, a Sun Odyssey 349. Congrats!!
A sail rally to North Sound, Hobie Cat racing at the Bitter End Yacht Club, a dock-tail contest, great dinners, brilliant sunsets, awesome sailing, and a fantastic finale pirate party were all part of the Jeanneau Owners' Rendezvous—BVI 2024! HOBIE CAT WINNER
We saw lots of good racing on the Hobie Cats this year! With six cats on the race course and a total of four races, there was lots of good competition. But when all was said and done and the racing was over, there was one clear winner!
Congratulations to the team of Ron and Kathy Knack for taking first place in this year's Hobie Cat Regatta! Great job Team Knack!
