Jeanneau Owners meeting 2022
Our 2022 Jeanneau Owners meeting was held in June and some 36 people congregated at the Royal Harwich Yacht Club for a reception drinks, dinner and Americas Cup talk by Tim Carter from INEOS Britannia. A good time was had by everybody and new friendships were cemented.
Our “race officer” briefed the participants for the Saturday “catch me if you can race” which was eagerly anticipated by all concerned!
THE RECAP OF THE RACE
On a beautiful English summer day the “racing” took part on the river Orwell with a staggered start in ideal conditions of breeze and sun. The runaway winner was the Sun Odyssey 349 helmed by Andrew Bell in his new boat called NonStop, with the next three boats finishing within 100m of each other.
The prize giving on the club lawn was held with much jollity and all concerned said they would participate in our future get togethers!
