June 19th is the official start date of Sail Alaska 2016, an Alaskan voyage for amateur sailors.
This year, a fleet composed of 12 boats, including 10 Jeanneau sailboats, will leave on a voyage of discovery to Northern Alaska, by way of an interior passage from Anacortes.
As with each year, numerous group activities have been organised for the cruise, including a salmon fishing trip, after which the crews will gather on a large clam beach to smoke the salmon.
The adventurers will enjoy magnificent natural beauty and moments of fun and relaxation in the company of fellow sailors. A beautiful voyage awaits, one that will allow the crews to experience true passage making.
